Wearing a bow tie is a classic style, whether you're in a wedding party or going out for a formal event. Bow ties give the look of elegance and prestige with your formal wear. Put the bow tie around your neck. Pull the left side of the bow tie down 2 inches longer than the right side. To avoid confusion, the right side of the bow tie will be referred to as "A" and the left side as "B."

Cross A directly over the top of B.

Loop A under B, and pull through the top at the collar.

Fold B so that the end of the bow points to the right.

Loop A over the center of B that you just folded.

Loop A behind B, and pull it through the material in the back.

Adjust the bow tie so that it is snug and perfectly in place.
