How to Get the Gold Guns on Call of Duty 4
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a first-person shooting game set in the present day with a storyline that crosses through Russia, Ukraine and the Middle East. The game offers both a one-player story mode and a multi-player online mode. Both playing styles have various achievements to be unlocked. One such achievement is obtaining golden guns from the multi-player mode. There are five golden guns available, and each gun is obtained by completing a separate challenge. While the guns do not offer any special power-ups, or enhancements, they are considered a badge of achievement during online play.

Connect to "Multiplayer Mode" from Call of Duty 4's main screen. Choose the option to play online. You can only unlock the gold guns by completing online achievements.

Reach level 55 to unlock the golden Desert Eagle handgun. You can gain experience points to reach level 55 through killing other players and completing challenges. You also receive bonus experience points when your team wins a match.

Open the "Barracks" menu to view the available challenges. Equip an assault rifle, such as the AK-47, and complete all of the available assault rifle challenges to unlock the golden AK-47. Challenges in Call of Duty 4 typically involve using the weapon to obtain a certain number or types of kills.

Complete all of the available sniper rifle challenges to unlock the golden Dragunov sniper rifle. The sniper rifle challenges include obtaining head shots with a variety of sniper rifles.

Complete every shotgun challenge to unlock the golden M1014 shotgun. Shotgun challenges include obtaining kills and head shots with all available shotguns.

Complete the sub-machine gun, or SMG, challenges to unlock the golden mini-Uzi. Complete the challenges using every available sub-machine gun.

Unlock the golden M60 light machine gun, or LMG, by finishing all of the available light-machine gun challenges listed in the barracks.
