How to Remove Nero Showtime
"Nero Showtime" is part of Nero's multimedia software suite. "Nero Showtime" lets you listen to your favorite music and watch DVDs. The uninstaller utility that comes with the "Nero Showtime" software does not do a good job of removing all traces of "Nero Showtime." The developers of Nero are aware of this and have created a more thorough uninstaller utility called "Nero General CleanTool" that can be used for "Nero Showtime" or any Nero application. Because "Nero General CleanTool" downloads in a zip file, you need Winzip or a similar program before you can install it.

Go to winzip.com and click the "Download Winzip" button. Enter a valid email and click the "Download Winzip Now" button. Save it to your desktop. If you already have an unzip program installed, skip to step four.

Click the "winzip.exe" file on your desktop. Agree to the Terms of Use. Click "Next" each time you are asked to get to the installation process window.

Click "Finished" after "Winzip" has completed its installation.

Click the "Nero Uninstaller Download" link in the Resources section of this article to download "Nero General CleanTool." Save it to your desktop.

Right click the "General CleanTool" zip file you saved to your desktop. Select "Winzip" and click "Extract to Here." Click the "General CleanTool" icon.

Select "Nero Showtime" and any other Nero programs you want uninstalled.

Click "Clean." When prompted, restart you computer.
