How to Replace a Portable Dishwasher

Disconnect and remove your old portable dishwasher. If your portable dishwasher is connected to the kitchen sink using an adapter, use a pair of pliers to disconnect the adapter and the water line.
Alternately, if your dishwasher is connected via a hot and cold water line below the sink, first ensure that the hot and cold water feed lines are both turned off. Then, using the pliers, remove the dishwasher water feed line from the faucet and reconnect the faucet to the main line, and tighten the connection with the pliers before turning the hot and cold water back on.

With a measuring tape, measure the space allocated for the new portable dishwasher. Note the measurements (height, width and depth) to be used in selecting your replacement unit.

Install the replacement dishwasher following the manufacturer's installation instructions (typically, the reverse of the disconnection steps in Step 1.
