How to Move Windows Media Player Music Files to an iPod
Windows Media Player audio files, such as WMA and MP3 files, can be transferred onto an MP3 player by syncing the device with the Windows Media Player software. Unfortunately, iPods are not compatible with the Windows Media Player program and thus music files in the media library cannot be transferred onto the iPod using Windows Media Player. Moving the Windows Media Player music files into the iTunes library will allow you to add the files onto your iPod.
