How to Copy Saved Games from PS2 to PS3

Things You'll Need
- PlayStation 2 (PS2) memory card
- PlayStation 3 (PS3) console
- PS3 memory card adapter

Plug your PS2 memory card into the slot on the PS3 memory card adaptor.

Plug the adapter into the USB port on the PS3 console.

Turn on the PS3 console.

Highlight the "Game" selection in the console menu. Choose "Memory Card Utility (PS/PS2)" from the menu.

Choose "Copy" from the memory card menu. You need to press the triangle button to access this menu.

Confirm that you want to copy the memory card to your console hard drive. A prompt will appear.

Name the memory card by using the keyboard that appears on the screen. Select the "OK" button when finished. The contents of your PS2 memory card will be saved to the PS3 hard drive. You can access the card by selecting it in the "Memory Card Utility" menu.

Tips & Warnings
You can only copy the entire PS2 memory card, not individual game saves. You can browse the copied version of the memory card on the PS3 hard drive to delete saves or copy individual saves to other internal memory cards on your hard drive.
