How to Reset a BMW Service Reminder
In order to shut off the indicator light that comes on in your BMW whenever regular maintenance is required, you must reset the service reminder. Once you have completed the required maintenance, use an OBD (on-board diagnostic) tool to reset the service reminder. OBD tools are available from BMW.

Open the fuse panel cover by turning the knob on the fuse panel counterclockwise and pulling down on the cover.

Plug the electrical connector on the OBD tool into the matching input on the fuse panel.

Turn the ignition key to the "II" position and wait for the service reminder light to go out.
