How to Make Rhinestone Bracelets

Rhinestones aren't just for costume jewelry and embellishing purses anymore. Rhinestone bracelets and other rhinestone jewelry are becoming more and more popular as jewelry fashion takes on a more whimsical look and feel. Rhinestones are easy to find and, depending on the make and brand, won't break your bank account. With some free time and a few supplies, you can craft a trendy rhinestone bangle bracelet yourself. Instructions

    • 1

Find or purchase a wide, plain bangle bracelet and a pack of small flat-back rhinestones. The surface of the bangle must be smooth and flat. It can be any width you choose, but the larger the bangle, the more rhinestones you'll need. The rhinestones should be between 4 mm and 7 mm in diameter. Choose a color that will go well with the bangle. For example, if the bangle is blue, choose some blue rhinestones in a similar shade.

    • 2

Decide on the placement and pattern of the rhinestones on your bracelet. If you are using more than one color of rhinestones, you could make an outside row on either side of the bracelet with one color and then use the other color for the middle row. Take into account how large the rhinestones are compared to the bangle. You may need to stagger the rhinestones to get them to fit instead of making two or more straight rows. Stagger them by placing one at a 45-degree angle from the last in a zigzag pattern. Also decide how far apart to space each rhinestone.

    • 3

Take the cap off of your E6000 glue and pick up your first rhinestone with a pair of tweezers. Apply a thin layer of the glue to the flat bottom of the rhinestone. Place the bottom of the rhinestone on the bangle in the spot where you want it to stick. E6000 glue is strong and, for this reason, is often used in the making of jewelry.

Repeat Step 3 until you have glued all the rhinestones to the surface of the bangle bracelet. Take care not to disturb the previous rhinestones as you glue on the next ones. The E6000 glue won't dry completely for 24 hours, so don't wear the bracelet until then.
