How to Make Graduation Party Invitations to Print
Save money by making your own graduation party invitations to print out at home. Many websites offer free, printable graduation party invitation templates that you can download or copy and paste. Design your own invitation or choose a template you like. You can make black-and-white invitations if you don't have a color printer, or simply save your color invitation to a CD and take it to a copy center for printing.

Look online for free, printable graduation party invitation templates and choose one you like. Follow the reference links below.

Copy and paste your chosen invitation template to a Word document.

Create text boxes over the template to add your own information to the invitation. Simply go to the "Insert" menu and select "Text Box," then draw a box in the appropriate size in the position you want, and add text. You can choose the font, size and color of the text in the box. Indicate the party's location, date and time, and include an RSVP phone number or e-mail address.

Print more than one invitation per page by copying the template and text boxes and pasting them below.

Make room for more invitations per page by decreasing the left, right, top and bottom margins. Go to the "Format" menu, select "Document," and adjust the margins in the window that appears.

Print the templates at home or at a copy center and use a paper cutter to cut them out.

Insert clipart or a photograph of the graduate to a Word document. Go to the "Insert" menu, select "Picture," and then "Clipart" or "From File." If you selected "Clipart", browse Word's clipart library for graduation imagery. If you selected "From File," browse your computer's documents for the photograph you want to put on the invitation.

Adjust image size by clicking the image and dragging the corners in to make the image smaller, or out to make it larger.

Add text below the image in whatever font, size or color you want.

Copy the images and text and paste them to fill the page so that you can print multiple invitations per page. Adjust the margins to make room for more invitations per page.

Print the invitations at home or at a copy center and cut them out with a paper cutter.

Print your invitations on heavy cardstock for more durability. Print on colored cardstock for a fun look.
