How to Play YouTube on an HTC Touch
YouTube streaming video playback is usually quite difficult to achieve with an HTC Touch. This is largely due to the fact that the phone's mobile Internet browser does not come equipped with the proper handling client needed to enable such video playback on the phone. But luckily, there are ways around this issue so you can enjoy YouTube videos right from your HTC Touch. The vTap mobile streaming application is a mobile client that can be downloaded to the HTC Touch for successful playback. The mobile client simply converts the video, making playback much less complicated so your phone can display the video.

Press the "Start" icon on the phone's taskbar, with the HTC stylus, and access "Mobile Internet" from the HTC Touch phone.

Select the "Options", or up arrow image key, in the bottom-right of the mobile Internet browser, and select the "Type a URL Address" action.

Press the small keyboard icon that will be displayed along the bottom bar of the phone's screen.

Key in the URL address, "m.vtap.com", with the HTC stylus to access the vTap website from your mobile Internet browser.

Scroll to the bottom of the vTap mobile homepage, and press the "Download vTap for Better Search and Playback Experience" link with your stylus.

Opt to "Save" the vTap mobile download client to your mobile operating system.

Access the phone's "Start" menu when the vTap mobile download client has been stored to your computer.

Open your "Programs" folder in the mobile explorer window, and press the mobile download client icon to install the vTap application on your HTC Touch.

Access the vTap application once the installation is complete. Touch the blank search bar with the HTC stylus to key in the name of the YouTube video you want to play on your HTC Touch.

Click the still thumbnail image or link to the YouTube video in the search results. The vTap streaming mobile player will process and convert the video for successful playback on the phone.

Tips & Warnings
You can also acquire the client download from a full Internet browser, but it may be much less complicated to simply use your mobile Internet browser. When downloading from a full browser, you would save the client download to your hard drive, and connect the phone via USB sync cable to transfer the download file to your phone.
Other mobile streaming clients may be available, but vTap is currently the only one that has been tested for successful video playback on the HTC Touch. Each vTap compatible smartphone model has a specific client download that works with your particular phone. The site detects the phone you are using when you access it with your mobile browser.
