How to Recover Missing Files on Vista

Insert the Windows Vista disc. Wait until the install page appears.

Click "Install Now".

Click "Get Important Updates". This will ensure that you'll have the latest version of Vista when you reinstall.

Enter the product key found inside your Windows Vista packaging. Click "Next".

Select "I accept the license terms" and click "Next".

Select "Custom" for the installation type.

Install Windows to your C partition. This will fix any corrupted files you may have and recover and files that may be missing or were accidentally deleted.
