How to Automatically Install ActiveX
Internet Explorer supports ActiveX controls. Firefox and other web browsers do not support true ActiveX controls. Dynamic websites require the installation of ActiveX controls. Dynamic websites use multimedia, flash, music play and user contributions such as picture uploading. ActiveX components and plug-ins allow multimedia such as videos and flash to display on a user's computer. Installing ActiveX is easier than installing additional programs to enable dynamic web page displays. A pop-up appears at the top of a website that requires ActiveX controls. Web users have to manually install ActiveX. In order to avoid the pop-up, they have to change their Internet Explorer settings. Changing the settings allows for automatic installation of the controls on every website that requires ActiveX.
