How to Make a Go Kart for Sale
Whether you're having an estate sale, garage sale, or selling previously owned things you never use, you can make you a little extra money. Go Karts are low-to-the ground, 4-wheeled motorized carts. Similar to a child's "Barbie Jeep" they can go much faster and can be ridden by children as well as adults. If you have one or more Go Karts that never see the outside world, consider putting it up for sale.
Things You'll Need
- 1-cup car wash soap
- Large bucket
- Warm water
- Sponge
- Hose
- Glass cleaner
- Paper towel
- Interior car cleaner
- For Sale sign

Pour car wash soap into a large bucket. If you're going to put your Go Kart up for sale, you want to make sure it looks clean.

Fill the bucket with water, making sure the water mixes with the soap to make it sudsy.

Soak a sponge into the soapy water. Wipe and scrub down every inch of the Go Kart. Make sure to get the wheels.

Spray the soap off of the kart by using a hose. If the kart still looks a little dirty or muddy, repeat steps 1 through 4.

Spray glass or window cleaner onto the window shield if the Go Kart has one. Wipe the cleaner off with paper towel to make sure there are no steaks on the glass.

Spray the interior seating with an interior car cleaner. Wipe up the cleaner with a paper towel. The insides of Go Karts can get very dirty since most do not have doors or a roof and therefore this step may need to be repeated.

Purchase a For Sale sign at any hardware store. Write on the sign, in permanent marker, the asking price and your phone number. Make sure to stick the sign on the kart in an easily viewable area.

To reach a larger area of people interested in purchasing a Go Kart, list your kart for sale in a newspaper classified ad or an online ad site. It's best to also take the kart into a mechanic to look it over. This way, you can get any problems fixed before selling it to a potential customer. Keep in mind that you can also sell your Go Kart to a Go Kart store.
