How to Get Your URL on Dogpile

Dogpile is an Internet search engine. People with websites they want to promote might to appear on searches through Dogpile.com, which uses other powerful search engines available to generate results pages. Dogpile uses Google, Bing, Yahoo! and Ask, as of 2010 to generate results. That means that you only have to be listed in one of those search engines to come up in Dogpile. However, to ensure that you're consistently displayed in Dogpile searches, you'll want to be listed in all of those search engines.

Instructions

Submitting your URLs

1. Go to Google.com. Click on "About Google," then click on "Submit your content to Google" and add your site's URL.

2. Navigate to Bing.com. Enter "Submit URL to Bing" in the search field. Click on the link "Bing URL Submission." Enter your URL in the field. Click "Submit URL."

3. Go to to Yahoo.com. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "Submit Your Site." Select the option "Submit Your Site for Free." Click "Submit a Website or Webpage." Enter your URL, then click "Submit URL."

4. Direct your browser to sitemaps.org. Prepare an XML document of the sitemap for your website as indicated in the instructions. Publish this document on your website. (This will include your website on Ask.)

   Once you have completed all of these steps, you should start seeing your website consistently displayed in searches on Dogpile.
