Instructions

    • 1

Place the PVC pipe on top of the square hardwood dowel with 2 inches of the pipe sticking out past the end. Use the nylon strapping tape to fasten the pipe to the wooden dowel both in front and at the back end of the pipe.

    • 2

Mark a spot on each side of the square wooden dowel 6 inches in from the rear end of the PVC pipe.

    • 3

Screw eye bolts into the spots that you marked. These will hold the rubber bands securely to the spear gun.

    • 4

Push three rubber bands through one of the eye bolts and pull the other ends through to tie the rubber bands to the eye screw. Repeat this step on the other side.

    • 5

Use pliers to bend each end of the hanger wire into a loop but do not close it all the way. Slip the rubber bands onto the wire hook on each side. Close the loops with the pliers and cover the wire with a couple of turns of tape.

    • 6

Use the hot glue gun to attach the heavy clothes pin at the very back of the square wooden dowel. Reinforce the glue by wrapping a couple of turns of the heavy tape around the dowel and the bottom of the clothes pin. This will be the release mechanism for shooting your arrow.

    • 7

Use the saw to cut a groove across the bottom end of the 1/4-inch hardwood dowel. Use hot glue to fasten the glue-on arrow tip to the other end of the dowel. Once the glue is dry your arrow will be ready to shoot.

Tips & Warnings

  • Attach a fishing reel to the spear gun and tie the line to an arrow so you can spear fish in streams or lakes and use never lose your arrow.

  • Use care when working with craft tools such as hot glue guns or saws. Always make safety job number one.

  • Never point the spear gun at another person.
