How to Turn My Nintendo DS Lite Into an Organizer
Your Nintendo DS Lite is even more handy than you thought it was. If you have used the DS Lite for any length of time, you know the system offers not just a great handheld gaming platform, but also a way to chat, send pictures, be woken by an alarm and even browse the Internet. But it gets better. If you are willing to invest a little time and money in getting into "homebrew," or amateur software, your Nintendo DS Lite can even be used as a rudimentary personal organizer.

Download DSOrganize. DSOrganize is the homebrew software that allows you to use your Nintendo DS Lite as a personal organizer. You can download DSOrganize from the website in the Resources section.

Insert your Nintendo DS flash card into your flash card reader. Wait until the flash card shows up on your computer's file browser.

Upzip the downloaded file and extract the files within to the root directory of your Nintendo DS flash card. When the files have been transferred, eject and remove your flash card.

Run DSOrganize by inserting your flash card into your Nintendo DS and selecting the program either by tapping it with the stylus or selecting it with the "A" button. Once the application has been launched, you will be presented with a choice of Calendar/Dayplanner, Address Book, Scribble Pad, File Browser, Scientific Calculator and several online tools. The solid set of options in DSOrganize can be used to make your Nintendo DS Lite keep track of your day-to-day appointments, organize your contacts and files, and a variety of other useful functions.
