How to Calibrate Toshiba Televisions

Save

Fine-tuning the picture on your Toshiba television may require calibration. The factory settings on a Toshiba TV allow it to stand out when displayed in a showroom. But those settings are not ideal for your home. You will have to adjust the picture and brightness using your Toshiba remote control.

  • Sit in the area where you normally watch television.

  • Adjust the lighting in the room so it’s typical for watching TV. The TV picture looks much different in dim and bright conditions.

  • Turn your TV on and wait 30 minutes before calibrating. This allows the displays to warm up and operate at normal temperature.

  • Use your remote to access the “Main Menu.” Choose “Picture Menu” and hit “OK.”

  • Adjust your “Brightness,” “Contrast,” “Sharpness,” “Color” and “Tint” until the picture is desirable. Select the adjustments in the “Picture Menu” and use the left and right arrow keys to adjust up or down.
