Instructions

    • 1

Open your graphics program and select a blank template. Choose the page size and the layout orientation. The portrait landscape works best for collecting a lot of names and phone numbers.

    • 2

Drop a divider about 2 inches from the top of the page. Create a headline with the graphics tool. The headline should contain the name of the event you are soliciting help for.

    • 3

Drop a text box underneath the headline divider. Choose a text box with clear outlines so the box will not show when printed. Inside the box put important information such as when this event will occur, what time it begins and where it will be. Give a contact phone number in this area so anyone unclear about details can call for clarity.

    • 4

Open a new text box. It should be slightly smaller then the page. It should also have no visible outline. Inside the text box, write the word 'name' and the word 'phone' in capital letters. Hit "Enter" twice. Then hold down the shift key and the dash key to make an underline. Alternatively, use the underline function and create lines down the page. Stop about 2 inches from the bottom of the page.

    • 5

Select a photo or some clip art to fit into the space at the bottom of the page. Use relevant imagery that pertains to the event. Print several sign-up sheets and place them on a clipboard. Put the clipboard and some pens in a visible area for people to sign up.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you do not have a computer, use a ruler and pencils to make the lines on your sign-up sheet. Use neat handwriting for the headline and the information portion.
