How to Manually Update Registry Mechanic 8

Registry Mechanic is a commercial software product which scans the computer for a variety of issues such as registry errors, fixing them automatically to help the computer run as smoothly as possible. Registry Mechanic 8 automatically launches its own internal update utility periodically to ensure that it is kept up to date. However, you may wish to run this utility manually, perhaps as a precursor to scanning your computer for problems. Update Registry Mechanic 8 manually if you do not want to wait for the update utility to run automatically.

Instructions

1. Launch Registry Mechanic 8, and click the "Options" button in the lower left portion of the window.

2. Click "Smart Update." A new window with "Smart Update" in the title bar will open.

3. Click "Next." Any updates that are available will be downloaded and installed.

4. Click "Finish" when the process is complete.

Tips & Warnings

• Do not be alarmed if no updates are available when you run Smart Update for Registry Mechanic 8. Because the types of problems that can occur with the Windows registry vary little, the utility does not need to be updated frequently.
