How to Make Saturday a Working Day in Microsoft Project 2003

Microsoft Project 2003 is a project management application designed to manage small and large tasks. By providing the option to manage workers and resources, as well as including calendar management aspects at every turn, users can provide realistic and accurate projections for any project. It also offers users many options for customization, which is particularly useful for organizations that observe a nonstandard work schedule. This includes the ability to add or remove different days of the week from the work schedule.

  • Launch the Microsoft Project 2003 application.

  • Click the "Tools" option at the top of the screen.

  • Select the "Change working time" option.

  • Click on the "S" column heading at the top right of the calendar in the center of the screen.

  • Check the circle on the right that is next to the "Nondefault working time" option.

  • Click the "OK" button at the bottom of the window.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be sure to save your project after you have made this change; otherwise, the change will not be reflected the next time you open your project file.
  • This method can be used to select or deselect any other day of the week as well.
