How to Make a Peach Cosmopolitan

A peach cosmopolitan is a wonderful twist on the classic cosmopolitan cocktail. This drink is perfect for warm summers, and, when peaches are in season, there is no wrong time for a peach cosmo. This recipe makes two peach cosmopolitans, but you can easily multiply it if you are having a party or serving a large group. You can even put the finished drinks in a blender with 1/2 cup of ice to make a delicious frozen treat.

Things You'll Need

• Cocktail shaker
• Crushed ice
• 9 oz. good-quality vodka
• 2 oz. peach juice
• 2 oz. peach schnapps
• 2 martini glasses, chilled

Instructions

1. Fill a cocktail shaker half-full with crushed ice. Add the vodka, peach juice and peach schnapps.

2. Replace the top on the shaker and shake gently for about 10 to 15 seconds.

3. Strain the peach cosmopolitans into two chilled martini glasses. Garnish each drink with a fresh peach slice and a maraschino cherry. Serve immediately.

Tips & Warnings

• For a less potent variation on a peach cosmopolitan, pour the finished drink into a Collins or highball glass half-filled with ice cubes. Fill the rest of the glass with sparkling water.
