Selling your items you don't use anymore is a great way to make some extra money. Although EBay has been very popular, Craigslist allows you to post your items for free. There are a few tricks to write a good ad on Craigslist so your items can sell quickly.
First, write an ad that sounds good. Make sure to check your spelling, punctuation and grammar so your ad sounds professional. Use describing words that make your item sound like a great product to purchase.
Next, take pictures of your items. If you have a picture available people are more likely to click on your ad to view it, since Craigslist lets the viewer know that there is a picture for the ad. Take a good, clear picture that shows the detail of your item. Focus on the item and clean up any clutter that may be around the item so it doesn't show in the picture.
Lastly, put a good price on your item if you want it to sell. Don't price your item for $5 less than you can purchase it for in the store. Most people will want to spend that extra $5 just to get a new item instead of getting one that is used.
