   Pick the Right Container for Lucky Bamboo Plants

   Select a glazed ceramic or glass containers filled with fresh water for the lucky bamboo plant. The stalks will sprout roots but do not need soil to flourish. Add a 1/4 to 1/3 layer of decorative stones, rocks, or marbles to the container for the bamboo roots to twist around; rocks help anchor the plant. Lucky bamboo prefers a tight environment so choose a container no more than two to three inches larger than the plant itself.
