How to Relieve a Bad Toothache

Toothaches can be described as one of the worst pains ever. Unfortunately, going to a dentist is very costly and not much fun. Why would you want to spend money on something so painful? If you can't afford to go to the dentist try simple techniques to relieve that horrible toothache.

Instructions

    • 1

First, take two aspirin to relieve any inflammation that you may have in your mouth.

    • 2

Next, apply oil of cloves directly onto the tooth. Oil of cloves can be picked up at a pharmacy. Apply this directly on your tooth not onto your gums. It will numb the nerve that is causing pain, momentarily.

    • 3

Apply a cold compress on your cheek to relieve any swelling you may have from your toothache. Most of the time this doesn't help with the pain but it will at least bring down any swelling in your face.

    • 4

Keep your head elevated to reduce any pressure that may be causing your toothache.

    • 5

Rinse your mouth with warm water and salt. There is a possibility that you are in pain due to a piece of food stuck in between your tooth and gum. Try rinsing with warm salt water to see if that relieves your toothache.
