How to Treat Acne Rosacea Through Diet

A change in diet can help treat Acne Rosacea, though it can't work alone. Acne Rosacea is a nonhereditary inflammation that most commonly appears as flushing or redness on the face. Some attacks are triggered through sun exposure, poor use of skin products, and food. Eating right and staying out of the sun can help a person battle rosacea. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Switch to a diet of alkaline-forming foods, which includes fruits, vegetables and high-sodium foods. Alkalines help neutralize the acids that rosacea uses to grow. Beans, roots, nuts and seeds are fine. Increase water consumption if you don't drink at least eight glasses of water every day.

    • 2

Avoid alcohol. Alcohol, as well as stimulants like tobacco, can increase the acid. Spicy foods and hot liquids can also worsen the symptoms.

    • 3

Limit the intake of dairy foods, which cause outbreaks in some people. Meat, fish, chicken, drinks with sweeteners, vinegars and cereal can contribute to the acid. Since some of these foods could be essential, you may need to experiment with a few and see if they have any impact on the skin.
