How to Delete Toolbar History


Toolbars are third-party browser plug-ins that enable you to search the web easily. They include toolbars that when you install them, they launch automatically on your browser where you can search for content including pictures, videos and news. Toolbars also keep a record of your search history. However, you can delete tool bar history in a few steps .

  • Launch your web browser and locate the toolbar you are using on the top of your browser. Toolbars like Google install on the top of your browser.

  • Click your toolbars icon or click the drop-down arrow next to the search window. You should see a list of the toolbar search history.

  • Scroll down the search history list and locate the "Clear History" link. For toolbars like Google, or Dogpile, you should see the "Clear History" link on the bottom of the search history list. Click the "Clear History" link to delete your toolbars search history.

  • Click the "Tools" menu on your browser if the toolbar you are using does not have a "Clear History" link. Select "Delete Browsing History" or "Clear Recent History," depending on the browser you are using.

  • Select the categories to delete browsing history from. Select categories like temporary Internet files, cache and cookies. Click "Delete" or "Clear Now." Your browser should delete your browsing history, including the search history on your toolbar.
