Instructions

    • 1

Place a 1/4 cup of sugar into one of your bowls. Squeeze 1/2 oz. of lemon juice into another bowl. Take a martini shell and first dip it into the bowl of lemon juice. Next, dip the shell into the sugar bowl to create a sugar rim. Do this to satisfy the number of guests served. Set aside.

    • 2

Fill the entire cocktail shaker with ice. Mix 1 1/2 oz. of citrus vodka, 3/4 oz. simple syrup, 3/4 oz. Triple Sec and 1/2 oz. fresh squeezed lemon juice in cocktail shaker. Shake profusely or for about 30 seconds.

    • 3

Taste the combination of ingredients in your cocktail shaker. For a slightly stronger martini, add 1/2 oz of citrus vodka. To sweeten the cocktail, add 1/2 oz of simple syrup.

    • 4

Pour contents of cocktail shaker into sugar-rimmed martini shell.

    • 5

Cut a whole lemon in half, from navel to navel. Next, lay the lemon half on the cutting board, with the lemon rind facing you, and cut the lemon in small sections starting at the navel (about 2 centimeters wide), making the number of lemon slice garnishes needed for your guests (any extras are acceptable for additional rounds of drinks). Place a small incision across the center of the lemon garnish. Then place the lemon slice on the rim of the filled martini shell and serve.

Tips & Warnings

  • There are many modifications that can be made to this martini recipe, including the use of a raspberry or blueberry vodka and adding fresh fruit to the martini. Have fun with the cocktail and create your own recipe.
