How to Find a VIN Number on a Pull Trailer
The VIN is also known as the Vehicle Identification Number and, beginning in the 1980s, every vehicle on the road is required to have one, including trailers. It is an individual number that you can use to find the insurance or ownership history, as well as any accidents it might have been involved in. You also need the VIN for licensing and registration. It is an invaluable piece of information if you are buying a pre-owned trailer.
Instructions

1
Examine your trailer. At the front of it, there is the tongue, which has the arms that attach to the trailer itself at both front corners, as well as the coupler.
-
2
Step in front of the trailer so you are facing the tongue. Look at the arm on your right on the top for the VIN. If it is not printed on the top of the arm, look on the sides of the same arm. Depending on the kind of trailer, it might also be on a tag somewhere on the tongue, as well as stamped into the frame. If you do not find the VIN, move on to Step 3.

3
Check the frame at the front corner attached to the arm. The VIN may be stamped on the side of the frame or underneath it. If you still do not find the VIN, move on to Step 4.

Look on the bottom side of the frame in front of the front wheel on the driver side. The VIN should be stamped into the frame there, if it is not located in one of the other areas.

I can assure Marissa Robert that this report in almost as worthless as nothing. If you have no help to offer just sit down and be quiet.
