How to Donate Frequent Flyer Miles to Servicemen
Miles donated by frequent fliers have provided more than 18,000 tickets to military personnel and their families affected by the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Administered by the Fisher House, an organization that supports military families, the free tickets provide transportation to and from military medical centers. Family members may use the tickets to visit a service member, or a service member on medical leave can use these miles to visit home. The Department of Defense typically doesn't cover these types of expenses. Donating miles is easy, and you can do it from the comfort of your own home.
