Creating recovery disks is an important part of backing up your system's files. With more and more spyware and viruses being found on the Internet, you need the ability to wipe your computer clean and start over. Recovery disks contain your computer's operating system and all of the basic drivers required for your computer to function.

      Turn on your computer and wait for it to start up.

      Click on the "Start" button at the bottom left corner of your screen.

      Select the accessories folder for whoever manufactured your computer. For example, if you have a Dell computer it will be named "Dell Accessories."

      Click on the "OS Recovery CD" program and read and confirm the licensing agreement.

      Click on the "Next" button and enter the first blank CD in to your CD tray; this will begin the recovery process. You will be prompted to enter more disks as each one is filled with data. Once this process is complete you will see a "congratulations" message on your screen,

      Remove the last CD from your CD-ROM and click the "Finish" button.
