How to Connect to the Internet on a PSP Via Linksys WiFi Card

There are a few different ways to connect your PSP to the Internet, but all of them include using a wireless hotspot. If your computer has a Wi-Fi adapter like a Linksys Wi-Fi card, you can turn your computer into a W-Fi router. This makes your computer connectible for your PSP, sharing the Internet connection to play online games and browse the web.

Instructions

    • 1

Download and install Connectify. It is free software, and will allow you to update to the newest version automatically. Connectify will share your computer's Internet connection through its W-Fi adapter, creating a wireless hotspot for other devices to connect to.

Locate the Connectify system tray icon that was created when installed. Click "Settings." Enter in a name for your wireless hotspot in the "Wifi Name" section. Enter a password for your hotspot. You will need to enter this in whenever you connect to this hotspot. Select the Internet connection that you want to share and click the "Refresh" button on the top right of the settings page.

Turn on your PSP and navigate to your "Network Settings" in your PSP menu. Select "New Connection" and "Infrastructure Mode" from the Network Settings page. Select "Scan" and select the W-Fi hotspot you created with Connectify. Enter the password in the next section and press "X" to verify your settings. Press the "O" button to exit. Your PSP is now connected to the Internet.
