Instructions

  1. Resetting Comcast Motorola Router

    • 1

Unplug your Comcast Motorola Modem from the wall outlet. This will switch the power source from the wall to the internal battery, which has a limited lifespan.

    • 2

Press and hold the reset button on the modem for 10 seconds. The reset button can be found on the back of the modem and will require either a pen or pin needle to reach. After 10 seconds, release the button.

    • 3

Wait for the modem to power off. Because of the internal battery, this can take a few minutes for the battery to lose its charge.

    • 4

Leave the modem unplugged from the wall for another minute.

    • 5

Plug your modem back into the wall and allow your modem to boot up as normal. Give it a minute to go through its rebooting process.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be careful when resetting your modem when using a router, as it can lead to one or more of your devices losing its Internet connection for good (or at least until you reset your router).
