How to Tow a Buick Rendezvous
Towing a Buick Rendezvous is not a difficult job to complete in a correct and safe way. However, The Rendezvous is a fairly large and heavy vehicle, and will need to be towed on a trailer that can support the entire weight of the SUV. The trailer also needs to be big enough to comfortably support the length and width of the Rendezvous, in order to keep stabilized while on the road.

Drive the Buick Rendezvous onto the towing trailer, so that the front end of the SUV is facing the rear end of the vehicle that will be towing it.

Set the emergency brake on the Buick Rendezvous. Connect one of the restraint chain hooks to the lower control arm, located under the Buick Rendezvous, on the front-right side. Connect the opposite side of the chain to the O-shaped anchor point on the floor of the trailer. The hooks on each end of the chain will allow you the connect the chain to the Buick Rendezvous. Tighten the chain by using the tightening mechanism on the chain.

Connect one of the restraint chain hooks to the lower control arm, located under the Buick Rendezvous, on the front-left side. Connect the opposite side of the chain to the O-shaped anchor point on the floor of the trailer. Tighten the chain by pulling the handle on the locking mechanism until the lock snaps into the locking position. The locking mechanism is the metal piece in the middle of the chain, with a handle attached to it.

Connect one of the restraint chains to the axle located under the Buick Rendezvous, on the rear-right side. Connect the opposite side of the chain, using the hook, to the anchor point on the trailer located on the floor of the trailer. The anchor is a metal O-ring. Tighten the chain by using the tightening mechanism on the chain.

Connect one of the restraint chains to the axle located under the Buick Rendezvous, on the rear left-side, using the hook. Connect the opposite side of the chain to the anchor point on the trailer, using the hook. Tighten the chain by using the tightening mechanism on the chain.

Connect the electric cable on the trailer to the electric input on the towing vehicle. If the tow vehicle does not have an electric input, then turn on the emergency lights in the Buick Rendezvous. Apply pressure to the brake pedal to make sure that the brakes on the trailer are working properly.
