How to Adjust the Color on an LCD TV

LCD televisions are flat-panel TVs that provide an improved video display over standard tube televisions. If you own an LCD television you can adjust most of the features, including the colors that appear on the screen. You can make the colors as vibrant as you see fit. Although there are dozens of LCD brands and models available, all can be adjusted with just a few buttons on the remote control.

Instructions

1. Press the "Menu" button on the remote control while the LCD TV is on. An options menu appears in the middle of the TV screen.

2. Select "Picture" (or "Video," depending on the TV you have), then select "Color." The Color feature adjusts the saturation of the picture. Typically it is left at around 50. A color saturation higher than 50 bleeds the colors beyond their intended boundaries, while lower color saturation levels turn the image closer to black and white.

3. Select "Color Temperature" and a few different options appear. The LCD TV usually is left at "Neutral," however, you can select either "Cool" or "Warm." A cool color temperature makes the entire picture more blue, while a warm color temperature makes the image more red.

4. Accept the color changes and press the "Menu" button to exit out of the LCD color options.
