In addition to standard business-to-business shipping and the traditional mail-order catalog business, freight companies like UPS have seen their business expand due to innovations such as Internet-based businesses. The ability oto sell things online through sites like Amazon.com and eBay has also created a demand for people to ship products as well as receive them. Rather than take your package to a drop-off point, UPS gives you the ability to schedule a pickup from your home.
Go to the UPS website at UPS.com.
If you don't already have a UPS account, open one.
Under the "Shipping" tab, click on "Create a Shipment".
Fill out the online form with information such as the shipping address, your address (if it's not already entered), information about the package(s) you're shipping, the shipping method you want to use, and how you'd like to pay. At the bottom of the screen, click on the box next to "Schedule a Pickup."
Click "Next", and fill out the pickup information on the next page.
Click "Next" again, and review the shipping order. If everything is correct, click "Ship now".
