How to Create Smaller Zip Files on a Mac
Although Macintosh computers come with a built-in zip feature that allows you to compress your files, the amount of space you save is a paltry 5 percent. Fortunately, third-party zip software can increase the amount of free space recovered during compression and often can be downloaded for free or as a trial from online software sites. Applications such as YemuZip compress your files without losing quality, which is extremely important when compressing images, music or video.
