How to Make Pictures Into Caricatures

Save

Many people enjoy watching a caricature artist create funny caricature art from photographs or live subjects. If you enjoy caricatures, there is a way to make your own from your own photographs using software called Caricature Studio. Using this software, you can learn how to change photographs into funny caricatures. After you have morphed a photograph into a caricature, add funny clip art, frames and text to complete the caricature.

Things You'll Need

  • Caricature Studio software
  • Digital photograph
  • Color printer (optional)
  • Visit caricature-studio.software.informer.com (see resources) to download a limited trial version of Caricature Studio. This version is free, although there are fewer features than the full version (that is not free).

  • Proceed through the download process and then install the program on your computer. Double-click on the program icon to open the program.

  • Click “File” and then “Open” to browse photographs to open within the program.

  • Use the tools to morph the photograph into a caricature. Using the “putty” tool will add to the photograph. This is useful on cheekbones and chins. Using the “warp” tool will make facial features larger. Use this to make noses or eyes dominant. Use the “twirl” tool to create unusual effects on faces.

  • Add text to the photograph in the form of captions or talk bubbles. You can also add frames and other interesting effects that make the caricature more entertaining.

  • Save the caricature on your hard drive by clicking “Save As” and naming the caricature. You can then print it out in any way you desire.
