How to Use the Remote Application for Apple
The Remote application for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch uses your Wi-Fi connection to control iTunes from the device. Once installed, the application can create playlists, access Genius mixes and select songs to be played based on artist or album. The Remote application is a free application that can be downloaded from the App Store on your phone or iPod Touch.

Turn on your Wi-Fi. Click the "Settings" button on your phone and tap the "Wi-Fi" tab. Slide your finger across the screen so the button changes to "On." Tap the name of your network to connect.

Press the "Home" button your device. Tap the "App Store" button on your screen, and tap the "Search" button. Type "Remote" in the search field and tap the "Search" button in the lower-right corner.

Tap the first result and tap "Free" and "Install." Type in your password and tap "OK."

Tap the "Remote" button on your screen and tap the "Add Library" tab. Open iTunes and click your devices name under the "Devices" section.

Enter the code your device displays and click "OK."

Tap "Genius" to access the Genius mixes in your iTunes library. Tap "Playlists" to access your iTunes playlists, and tap "New" to create a new playlist or tap "Edit" to modify your current playlist.

Tap "Artists" to go directly to artist songs and albums, or tap "Search" to look for specific songs.
