How to Print an Award Certificate
Receiving recognition for special achievements or milestones is an important boost to morale. Print award certificates from your home or office printer for an immediate and cost-effective solution to providing that recognition. Use your word processing software and decorative paper to create and print your award certificates.
Things You'll Need
- Word processing software
- Award-certificate paper
- Ink jet or laser printer
- Ruler

Use a ruler to measure from the edge of your award-certificate paper to the inside of the pre-printed boarder. This measurement will vary based on the type of award certificate paper you are using, though typically boarders will take up 1/2 inch to 1 inch of the outer edge of the paper. Make a note of the measurement.

Open your word processing software and create a new document by going to "File" and selecting "New."

Under "File" in the top menu bar, select "Page Setup." Input the margins for the document based on the measurements taken from Step 1 and determine the orientation of your award certificate as either portrait or landscape. Click "OK" once changes have been made to the page setup.

Under the "Format" menu in the top menu bar, select "Paragraph" and select "Center" as the alignment for your award certificate.

Type the information you want to appear on the award certificate and adjust the font style and size accordingly.

Load the pre-printed award-certificate paper into your printer and select "File" from the top menu bar and then "Print."
