Quickbooks is one of the most popular financial software applications for small business owners. The program helps small business owners organize receipts and expenses by automating certain bookkeeping functions. In addition to its many advantages, one system which is often used by small business owners in Quickbooks is the point of sale (POS) system. Unlike manual bookkeeping systems, deleting point of sales receipts can be done is few quick steps.
Open Quickbooks and navigate to the company you are working on.
Open the sales receipt in Quickbooks that you would like to delete. Press "Ctrl+D" on your keyboard to delete the receipt. It's that simple. But what if you want to void a sales receipt? This is a much better practice in the long run as it shows a paper trail.
To void a sales receipt, open the sales receipt you would like to delete. Right click on the image and select the option "Void Sales Receipt." This will remove the amount of the receipt and enable you to track the receipt.
