Instructions

    • 1

To make the hat, find a cardboard box that is just big enough to fit on your head. Cut three of the flaps off of one end, leaving the fourth flap to act as a visor.

    • 2

Spray-paint the box black. Cut a piece of elastic that is just long enough to reach from one ear, under the chin to the other ear. Use the hot glue gun to glue both ends of the elastic to either side of the bottom of the hat to act as a chin strap.

    • 3

To make the jacket, cut out two pieces of red fabric that are each 36 inches long and as wide as the widest part of your body, plus 2 inches.

    • 4

Lay one piece of red fabric on top of the other, with the right sides together. Sew up the long sides, leaving 6 inches open at the top of each side for the arm holes.

    • 5

Sew across the top of the jacket, leaving a 6-inch opening in the middle for the collar. Cut the jacket open straight down the middle of the front, starting at the collar.

    • 6

Hem the collar, bottom, and front opening of the jacket. Turn the jacket right-side out. On one side of the front opening, sew button holes every 2 inches. Sew gold buttons onto the other side of the front opening, corresponding with the button holes.

    • 7

To make the sleeves, cut two pieces of fabric 14 inches wide and long enough to reach from your shoulder to your wrist.

    • 8

Fold one of the sleeves in half, bringing the longer sides together. Sew the long sides together and hem one raw edge of the sleeve. Sew the other raw edge to one of the arm holes. Repeat this process with the other sleeve.

    • 9

Spray-paint the toy gun black and pair the jacket with the black pants and black boots. Use pink blush on each of your cheeks to form cartoon-like blush circles.
