      Unplug the pool pump, or turn off the circuit breaker to avoid electrical shock while installing the pool filter.

      Place the pool filter about 2 feet to the right of the pool pump. Ensure the ground is level, and if needed use paving stones and a leveling tool.

      Connect the pool filter to the pool pump by using a piece of pool hose. Connect one end of the pool hose to the inlet valve on the pool filter; the other end should be connected to the outlet valve on the pool pump. Use two hose clamps on each end to secure the hose. Tighten the hose clamps using a flathead screwdriver.

      Use another piece of pool hose to connect the outlet valve on the filter and the return jet located on the sidewall of the pool. Use hose clamps to tighten and secure both ends of the pool hose.
