A sonic toothbrush has bristles that vibrate at a very high speed, while low-level ultrasound activates bubbles of foam in the user's mouth to clear away plaque and bacteria. The manufacturer states that the Ultreo toothbrush removes plaque from hard-to-reach areas, removes surface stains in 14 days and reduces gingivitis within 30 days. When the brush head needs replacing, an indicator light begins flashing. Resetting this light is very easy.

Instructions

1. Replace the Ultreo brush head when the replacement indicator light begins flashing.

2. Place the Ultreo toothbrush into its charger base and plug in the base.

3. Press the power button down for two seconds while the brush is in the charger base.

4. Release the power button when the indicator light goes out.

• Ultreo Inc. ceased operations in December 2008, but you can still buy the toothbrushes and replacement heads from many online retail outlets and from dental practices.
