Instructions

    • 1

Use a protractor and a pencil to create two circles on a large sheet of pink construction paper. The circles can be any size you would like, but for the most realistic size, you should make the circles 8 inches wide. Cut out the circles using a craft knife.

    • 2

Draw a cross on the pink construction paper circles, breaking them into four equal sections. Use scissors to cut out one of the four sections of each circle. Glue along one of the straight lines of both of the circles. Draw the two cut corners of the construction paper together. Place the bare side of the construction paper over the glued side. This should create a cone shape out of the construction paper.

    • 3

Fold a white piece of construction paper in half. Use the protractor to create a half circle on the paper. Cut out the shape while the paper remains folded over. This will leave you with two half-circle white construction paper cutouts. Press the point of the cone to the center of the white half circle. Gently mold the white half circle around the pink cone, making one-half of the cone white and the other half pink. Cut off any excess white paper that overlaps the bottom of the pink cone.

    • 4

Cut 2-inch wide circles of black construction paper. Glue the black circles to the white part of the ears. You want to make sure the black circles will face the same way when you wear the ears. Cut two circles of white construction paper that are only slightly smaller than the black ones. Glue these white circles over the black ones, making sure that some of the black construction paper is visible from under all sides of the smaller white square. This creates a 3D effect for the buttons on Chii's ears.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can attach the ears to a headband to make them wearable.

  • Use caution when you handle a craft knife and scissors. Failure to do so could lead to serious injury.
