How to See If Your Yahoo! Friends Are Online

Yahoo! makes it easy to see if your Yahoo! friends are online. If you don't have access to the Yahoo! Messenger utility, your friends list will be continually displayed in your Yahoo! profile. From your profile, you can add, delete or message friends. You can also view your friends' profile from yours. Your Yahoo! profile is home to all of your Yahoo! settings and configuration.

Instructions

1. Open your web browser and go to yahoo.com.

2. Click "Sign In" at the top right of the homepage.

3. Enter your Yahoo! ID and password. Click "Sign In." You will be returned to the Yahoo! homepage, but are now signed in to your account.

4. Click the name associated with your user name at the top right of the Yahoo! homepage. It will be where the "Sign In" button was.

5. Select "Profile." On the right under "Connections," names of friends on your Yahoo! account will be displayed if they are online. If they are offline, their name will not be shown at all.
