Instructions

    • 1

Remove your old blind spot mirror. Often, the adhesive backing on the mirror will not budge without using a lubricant or solvent. Use WD40 to dissolve the adhesive. The old blind spot mirror should slide right off without damaging the main mirror.

    • 2

Clean the main mirror using an alcohol pad. Gently rub the mirror, removing any excess adhesive or debris. This will help the new blind spot mirror stick better.

    • 3

Purchase a new blind spot mirror. These are available at most auto parts stores, gas stations and auto-repair garages. They can usually be bought for around $10.

    • 4

Place the blind spot mirror on the left edge of the side mirror. Attach the mirror using the adhesive backing and make sure to place it firmly in the correct position. Do this while sitting in the driver's seat, so you can position the mirror according to your needs.

Take your car for a test drive around the block to make sure the mirror is positioned to your liking. You may need to adjust the main mirror slightly to achieve your desired positioning.

Tips & Warnings

  • Keep in mind that blind spot mirrors do not completely eliminate blind spots. You should still drive with caution and always use your best judgment.
