Windows Media Player, which comes by default with almost every Windows operating system installation, is a useful way to watch videos. Depending on the resolution of the source video, you may wish to increase or decrease the amount of space that it takes up on your screen. This can be accomplished by following a few simple steps.
Click on the "Start" button in the lower left-hand side of the screen.
Choose "Programs" or "All Programs," then navigate to Windows Media Player and select it.
Open your library and select a video, then click the "Play" button.
Right-click on the video window and specify the size of the window either in the "Video Size" menu or by selecting "Full Screen." Conversely, you can go to the "View" menu at the top of the screen and scroll down to "Full Screen" or "Video Size" from there.
Tips & Warnings
- If you have an older installation of Windows Media Player, consider upgrading to a more recent version. Newer versions offer more features and better user control. You can find a link for Windows Media Player 11 in the References section.
- To exit full-screen mode, hit the "Esc" key.
