How to Prevent MSN Messenger Automatic Updates

MSN Messenger is a Windows-based communications program that allows you to chat with individuals via the Internet. The program is similar to Yahoo! Chat and other stand-alone chat programs. The program is available for Windows 95 through Windows 7, but new versions of the application are part of the Windows Live suite of communications programs. Like other Windows programs, MSN Messenger frequently accesses your Internet connection for automatic updates to its core program. You can prevent the program from automatically updating.
