How to Add Audio to DVD Nero Software
Nero is a software package that allows you to create and edit all kinds of audio and video files. It has an application called Nero Vision which allows you to make videos and slide shows and add music or other audio to them. You can also burn your creations to a DVD and enjoy them on any player that reads writable DVD's. Nero offers lots of options for your projects and is very robust, while maintaining a user-friendly interface.

Launch Nero StartSmart on your personal computer. Click the button with the flame icon on it in the lower left-hand corner of the Nero StartSmart window. Choose Nero Vision from the list and the Nero Vision window opens.

Click "Create DVD." Click on the "Import" button and choose which kind of file you want to add audio to. If you have already imported the project, highlight the title of your project with the mouse and click the "Edit" button. Both methods ultimately bring up the "Edit" screen.

Choose the "timeline" tab from the tab options at the top of the screen in the content area. There may be a drawing on the tab of two long rectangles on top of each other with two small next to them at one end.

Pick the tab with the picture of film at the top under the media area of the window. Highlight the audio file you want to add to the DVD and drag it to the audio track you want it on. Click the blue bar that shows the space the audio file takes up and adjust it where you want it in the video or slide show. Drag and drop the ends into the right positions to cut the size of the file down.

Save the project and burn it to a writable DVD. Push the save button in the main window and put a writable DVD in your burner drive. Click the "Burn Disk" option from the main screen for Nero Vision. Select the settings to burn the project onto a DVD and click the "Burn" button.
