How to Prepare Pork Cubed Steak
Pork cubed steak is an inexpensive cut of pork that is often cut from the pork shoulder, which tends to be tougher than regular pork steak. Things You'll Need
- 8 pork cubed steaks
- Large skillet with lid
- Salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Garlic salt (optional)
- Cayenne (optional)
- 1 large onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- Cutting board
- Sharp knife
- 2 large tomatoes
- Spatula
- 2 cans mushroom soup
- 2 6-oz. cans of V8 juice
- Small bowl

Season eight pork cube steaks with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Add other seasoning, such as garlic salt or cayenne, according to your preferences.

Prepare the onion and garlic for the pork cubed steak. Using a sharp knife and a cutting board, slice a large onion into thin rings. Set the onion aside. Mince a garlic clove. Add the minced garlic to the onion, and use a sharp knife to dice two large tomatoes.

Heat a small amount of canola oil or vegetable oil in a heavy skillet. Add the seasoned pork cube steaks; saute' the steaks until both sides are browned.

Add the onion slices, minced garlic and diced tomato to the browned pork cube steaks. Stir the mixture well. Use a spatula to loosen the browned crush from the bottom of the skillet. This will add a great deal of flavor to the pork cubed steaks.

Put two cans of mushroom soup in a small mixing bowl,. Stir in two 6 oz. cans of V8 juice. Pour the mushroom soup mixture over the meat in the skillet and put a lid on the skillet.

Reduce the heat to low, and simmer it for 15 minutes. Stir the mixture and scrape the bottom of the pan at least twice during the cooking time. Adjust salt and freshly ground pepper if desired, and serve.

Tips & Warnings
If you want your pork cubed steaks to have a spicy flavor, use a 6-oz. spicy V8 juice in place of regular V8 juice. If you like pork cubed steaks to have a mild flavor, use two-thirds cup of beef broth in place of V8 juice.
